The airport was built on a largely artificial island - Chek Lap Kok is one of the busiest in the world - Despite its relatively short
history, it has won several notable international "Best Airport"
awards. The main terminal has been designed by British architect Sir
Norman Foster who also designed London Stansted Airport. The
terminal building is the largest covered space in the world. The
Lost and Found Office, operated by Worldwide Flight Services Holding
