Dubai airport

Dubai International Airport has two terminals (a third one is about to open) and is located 4 kms southeast to city centre - it is one of the main Hub of the Middle East - The local airline is Emirates - In 2005, DXB airport served 24.7 million passengers. and has a large Duty Free shopping centre. The airport has won numerous awards for its excellence in design and services and is reputated for its amazing duty free shopping centre. A second - very large airport located at Jebel Ali is under construction to match the forecasted growth of air traffic - The first part is due to open in 2008.

Airlines - Terminal - Main carrier : Emirates

Most major airlines arrive at Terminal 1 of Dubai International Airport. Terminal 2 is used by mostly by airlines coming in from Iran, CIS countries and those operating chartered flights. Dubai Duty Free is recognized as being one of the best in the world, if not the best.

Airport transfers : Bus - shuttle - taxi service

Airport Connection : Airport bus to city center costs less than 1$ - Shuttle airport transfer service - Sedan Limo service are present at Dubai airport - Main operators are Siji Limousines and Dubai VIP Limousine Service. (Due to economic crisis many companies have ceased services - this section is under review)
Taxi to city center : The taxi service is provided by the government-run Dubai Transport airport taxi service, where each cab is meter-run.
