Beijing Capital airport

The airport is located 26 kilometers - 18 Miles, or 40 minutes, from the center of Beijing. It is the main hub of Air China and China Xinhua Airlines. Beijing Capital is today the busiest airport in China with more than 35 millions passengers in 2006. Airport tax : Travelers departing Beijing on an international flight must pay a RMB90 airport construction tax. Those flying to domestic destinations must pay RMB50. Payment must be made at counters in the departure area prior to checking-in for your flight. Beijing Airport transfers : Ground transportation - bus - shuttle - taxi service

It's a good idea to always carry the name of your hotel and any destination in Chinese because very few drivers in Beijing speak English. Airport Connection : Ground transfer service is operated by Gray Line : 10 6417 0383. Beijing airport bus : The airport bus is available on the lower level (6 lanes) just outside the Arrivals area. Taxi: Available on the lower level just outside the Arrivals area.  Drivers should use their meter : make sure that the driver puts down the flag, the cost to midtown Beijing is around RMB90 including the highway toll.
